Recommended Counselors
With so many choices available, finding the right therapist or counselor can seem overwhelming.
Here are a few tips to help you in this process:
1. A good professional therapist should be supportive of your spiritual beliefs and practices as an integral part of your healing journey. You may also want to consider working with a spiritual director in addition to your therapist to help you more clearly discern questions related to your faith.
2. Make sure your therapist has training in the healing of trauma. There are many types of therapy available to assist in the multifaceted healing process but only a properly trained therapist will help you resolve your unprocessed emotions of your past that is in your present relationships, your body, and affects your thinking process.
